Nortos is a digital CFO service for start-ups and SMEs. We place great value on quality and efficiency and support our clients with financial administration, financial planning, controlling and corporate strategy. Our work includes monthly business and financial reviews, budget variance analyses, context and benchmarks, reporting for investors and boards, and commentary on business performance.

Your role

As an accountant at Nortos, you play a central role in the finance function of more than 20 companies. You will help shape our clients' accounting and set best practices for our services. You are responsible for proper bookkeeping and make sure all financial transactions are recorded correctly. With your precise and structured way of working, you help our clients ensure financial transparency and provide the data they need for strategic decisions.

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for day-to-day accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger)
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under German GAAP (HGB)
• Monitoring and processing payments and dunning
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting the preparation of tax returns and working with external auditors
• Maintaining and optimising accounting processes
• Supporting the finance team with budgeting and reporting

Your profile

• Completed training as an accountant or a comparable qualification in finance and accounting
• Several years of accounting experience, ideally at a mid-sized company
• Sound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax law
• Confident use of accounting software (e.g. DATEV) and MS Office
• Analytical, structured mindset with a strong affinity for numbers
• Independent, careful way of working and a strong team player
• Strong communication skills and reliability
