Audio Engineer · $65/hr Remote

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and mix multi-track audio projects using Ardour or LMMS as the primary DAW.
• Demonstrate authentic end-to-end audio production workflows, from initial concept to polished final mix.
• Showcase creative experimentation, layering techniques, and real-time refinements during production sessions.
• Apply professional mixing techniques to enhance clarity, balance, dynamics, and overall sound quality.
• Clearly document and explain creative decisions and workflow rationale in written and verbal formats.
• Collaborate remotely with team members to meet project goals and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure final outputs meet professional standards for audio quality and artistic integrity.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with Ardour and/or LMMS in professional or semi-professional environments.
• Strong understanding of audio editing, mixing, and music production workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build complete tracks or mixes from scratch, including layering and refinement.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality audio assets.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote team setting.
• Adaptable and capable of handling evolving creative directions.
