Chemical Process Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative, remote-first engineering team. This position will focus on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will remotely analyze process data, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for optimization. Working in a fully remote capacity means you'll collaborate closely with on-site teams and colleagues across different time zones using advanced digital communication platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and analyze plant process data to identify inefficiencies and potential improvements.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies to reduce waste and enhance yield.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and equipment failures.
• Prepare technical reports, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs for proposed modifications.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement changes and ensure smooth transitions.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in chemical processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in chemical plant operations or process engineering.
• Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working independently.
• Knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles.
