Chief Metallurgist - Remote Process Optimization

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Metallurgist to lead their remote process optimization initiatives. In this role, you will remotely oversee and enhance mineral processing operations, ensuring maximum efficiency, recovery, and product quality. You will analyze operational data, develop innovative solutions, and provide expert guidance to on-site processing teams. Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and analyze metallurgical process performance data to identify areas for improvement in recovery, grade, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, reagent management, and equipment performance enhancement.
• Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support to on-site metallurgical teams via virtual channels.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for new processing technologies or circuit modifications.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable metallurgical practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to implement innovative metallurgical solutions and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral processing and metallurgy, with a focus on hydrometallurgy and/or pyrometallurgy.
• Proven expertise in process simulation software and advanced analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize metallurgical operations remotely.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in developing and presenting complex technical reports and recommendations.
