Cloud Network Architect (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Cloud Network Architect to join their fully remote team, contributing to the design and implementation of their next-generation cloud infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in architecting scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions on major cloud platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud networking principles, security best practices, and automation tools to build resilient and efficient systems. You will collaborate with distributed engineering teams, providing expert guidance on cloud network design and best practices, ensuring our client remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud network architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and manage virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, firewalls, and load balancing strategies.
• Automate network deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure network security compliance and implement monitoring solutions for performance and threat detection.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud network performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in network architecture and design, with at least 3 years focused on cloud environments.
• Expertise in designing and managing complex networks in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for network management.
• Strong understanding of network security principles , compliance, and best practices in the cloud.
