About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting their extensive telecoms operations . This role is critical for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructure within leading cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will play a key part in leveraging cloud-native networking services to support our digital transformation initiatives and ensure seamless connectivity for our distributed workforce and customer base. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, and security groups within major cloud platforms.
  • Implement and maintain cloud network connectivity solutions, including VPNs, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
  • Ensure network security best practices are implemented and enforced, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation.
  • Monitor cloud network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize for latency and throughput.
  • Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to ensure robust and secure cloud network architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, BGP, etc.) and their implementation in cloud environments.
  • Experience with network security principles, including security groups, network ACLs, and WAFs.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or automation language (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are a significant advantage.
