About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and empathetic Community Support Coordinator to join their team on a fully remote basis, supporting individuals in the Cape Town area. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in connecting individuals with essential community resources, providing guidance, and fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment. You will leverage digital communication tools to offer support, manage caseloads, and coordinate services for a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate access to social services, healthcare, and educational resources for community members.
- Provide remote guidance and support to individuals navigating complex personal or social challenges.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, NGOs, and service providers.
- Manage a caseload of clients, track progress, and document all interactions and outcomes effectively.
- Organize and promote virtual community engagement events and support groups.
- Identify emerging community needs and propose relevant support initiatives.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community development, social services, or client support.
- Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and case management software.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
- Deep understanding of the social landscape and available resources within the Cape Town region.
