Director of Remote Operations Strategy

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive remote operations strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Design and optimize policies and procedures to support a high-performing and engaged remote workforce globally.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement technologies and tools that enhance remote collaboration, productivity, and security.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of remote operations and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop training programs and resources to onboard and support employees in a remote work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations across different jurisdictions for remote employees.
• Foster a strong remote company culture, promoting communication, collaboration, and employee well-being.
• Work closely with HR, IT, and legal departments to ensure seamless integration of remote operations.
• Manage the operational budget for remote infrastructure and support services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years focused on remote or distributed workforce management.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing global remote operational strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of remote work technologies, collaboration tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Proven ability to design and optimize operational processes for a decentralized workforce.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in managing cross-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.
• Understanding of international labor laws and compliance for remote employees.
