What does it take to be successful at Aflac? • Acting with Integrity • Communicating Effectively • Pursuing Self-Development • Serving Customers • Supporting Change • Supporting Organizational Goals • Working with Diverse Populations What does it take to be successful in this role? • Domain-Specific Modeling • Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) • Relevant Platform Expertise (e.g., CRM, ERP, E-commerce) • Integration Technologies (e.g., ESB, Middleware) • Database Technologies (e.g., RDBMS, NoSQL) • Domain-Driven Design • API Design and Management • Cloud Services and Deployment Models • Security and Compliance within Domain Context • System Performance Optimization and Scalability Education & Experience Required • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field • 8+ years of related relevant architecture or programming experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Education & Experience Preferred • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap, aligning capabilities and investments with business strategy, AI initiatives, and enterprise technology objectives. • Design and govern enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse architecture, streaming platforms, and cloud-native data services. • Design and govern enterprise data products, ensuring data assets are discoverable, reusable, interoperable, and aligned to business capabilities and domain ownership models. • Develop and govern data models, standards, metadata, and data governance practices that support operational, analytical, and AI/ML use cases. • Architect data integration patterns and data platforms that support operational, analytical, and AI-driven workloads. • Lead data architecture governance, including reference architecture, architectural reviews, technology standards, and exception management. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineers, and enterprise architects to align data architecture with business objectives and enterprise standards. • Evaluate and recommend data technologies, platforms, and architectural approaches to balance business value, risk, cost, and long-term sustainability. • Ensure data security, privacy, regulatory compliance, resiliency, and disaster recovery requirements are incorporated into architectural designs. • Performs other duties as required Total Rewards The salary range for this job is $140,000 - $200,000.

This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.
