Event Catering Manager (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Catering Manager to join their virtual operations team. This fully remote position will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services for a variety of events, managing logistics from initial client contact through to post-event analysis. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of quality and service that our client is known for, ensuring seamless and memorable culinary experiences for all attendees, irrespective of their physical location. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for delivering outstanding client service in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed event catering plans, including menus, staffing, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate with virtual event platforms and on-site teams (where applicable) to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Source and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality ingredients and timely delivery.
• Conduct virtual client consultations to understand needs and tailor bespoke catering solutions.
• Oversee event execution, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Analyze post-event feedback and financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in catering management, event planning, or a related hospitality field.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and cost control principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for remote client interaction.
• Proficiency in event management software and virtual collaboration tools.
