About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile Field & Remote Installation Technician to join their team serving the East London area. This hybrid role combines essential on-site installation and maintenance duties with the capability to provide remote support, offering a dynamic and varied work experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless setup and optimal performance of client systems through both hands-on intervention and virtual troubleshooting. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys problem-solving in diverse environments and can effectively manage tasks both in the field and remotely, contributing to the company's commitment to excellent service delivery in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, configurations, and commissioning of equipment and systems as required.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on client equipment.
• Provide remote technical support to clients, utilizing diagnostic tools and communication platforms to resolve issues efficiently.
• Document all field and remote service activities, including work performed, parts used, and resolutions achieved.
• Train clients on the proper use and basic maintenance of installed systems.
• Manage service requests and respond promptly to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical installation and maintenance, with exposure to both field and remote support.
• Proficiency with relevant tools, diagnostic equipment, and remote support software.
• Strong understanding of technical systems and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting professionally on-site and remotely.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the East London and surrounding regions.
