The role drives our revenue through AI, owns the AI architecture, builds production-ready systems hands‑on, and leads a high-performing team while partnering with the founder to define the AI strategy. Your Profile You have a track record as a Staff/Principal Engineer or Technical Founder at the intersection of Architecture, Product, and Team Leadership.

The Role We are not looking for a traditional "Manager," but a Founder-level technical partner . This role is a unique hybrid of Staff/Principal Engineer, Product Builder, and Engineering Leader . AI initiatives are core to our growth and success, needing both strong business and technology mindsets.

Your Tasks You design and evolve the framework for AI agents, automation workflows, LLM integrations, and RAG (knowledge retrieval) systems, ensuring scalable, reliable, and tightly integrated solutions.

You lead by doing, actively contributing to the codebase and building AI toolchains, event‑driven automation, and decision systems that interact with real ERP data. You work directly with the founder to identify automation opportunities and validate solutions with real customers, ensuring AI addresses genuine business pain points.

You act as the internal authority on AI, aligning with Product and Engineering to integrate AI capabilities and educate stakeholders on possibilities and limitations. You possess deep experience in backend system architecture, distributed systems, and API design, and are highly proficient in LLM orchestration, AI agents, and data pipelines.

You think in business workflows, moving quickly from idea to production, always keeping the customer’s process in mind. You lead by technical example, hiring strong builders and balancing speed with long‑term quality.

You prefer building over theorizing, are execution‑focused, comfortable with ambiguity, and curious about simplifying complex processes. You are fluent in both English and German.
