About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Catering , operating entirely remotely, with oversight of operations servicing the Stellenbosch region and beyond. This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of the catering industry, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage a dispersed team to achieve outstanding results. You will be responsible for shaping the company's catering strategy, driving innovation, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction across all service offerings. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive catering strategy to drive growth and market leadership.
• Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including menu engineering, procurement, production, and service delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, geographically diverse catering team.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and key performance indicators to ensure profitability.
• Foster innovation in menu development, service styles, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations .

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior catering management or leadership role, preferably with remote team oversight.
• Proven track record of strategic planning, business development, and financial management in the food service industry.
• Deep understanding of culinary trends, food safety standards , and operational best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive change and innovation within a remote operational framework.
• Relevant degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
