Head of Talent Acquisition Location: Remote (South Africa-based) Type: 12-month contract (independent consultant) with possibility of extension About the Company Our client helps businesses get better deals on software. They are now looking to hire a Head of Talent Acquisition to build and run their recruitment engine as they scale.

Role Overview This contract role will own all talent acquisition activities, from sourcing and screening to process management and hiring delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with founders and hiring managers to ensure consistent attraction, assessment, and hiring of high-quality talent across multiple roles and geographies.

In addition to core hiring, this role will also support knowledge development by managing structured interviews with software vendor experts.

Key Responsibilities End-to-End Recruitment Ownership • Lead all internal recruitment efforts • Proactively source high-quality candidates aligned to role requirements • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across key functions Agency & External Partner Management • Work with specialist recruitment agencies where needed (e.g., SDR hiring in London) • Manage agency relationships, briefs, and performance Hiring Process Execution • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and candidate profiles • Screen candidates and manage interview processes end-to-end • Coordinate interview scheduling, feedback collection, and decision-making • Manage offers, contracting, and candidate communication Vendor Expert Interview Programme • Lead structured interviews with software vendor experts • Identify and engage relevant experts across tools and platforms • Coordinate and manage interviews to support the internal knowledge base Process & Quality • Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience • Bring structure, organisation, and clarity to hiring workflows • Continuously improve recruitment processes as the company scales Candidate Profile • 4+ years of proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment (in-house or agency) • Strong sourcing capability – able to identify and engage relevant candidates proactively • Experience managing end-to-end hiring processes across multiple roles • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • Strong organisational and communication skills • Able to work closely with founders and hiring managers Logistics • 12-month contract as an independent consultant, with possibility of extension • Remote role; candidate must be based in South Africa • Working hours should allow for overlap with UK time What Success Looks Like • Consistent delivery of high-quality hires across roles • Strong, reliable recruitment processes with minimal friction • Effective use of agencies where needed, without over-reliance • Well-managed pipeline of vendor expert interviews contributing to the company's knowledge base
