In-House Legal Counsel - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned In-House Legal Counsel to join their organization, operating entirely on a remote basis. This role is integral to providing comprehensive legal guidance on corporate matters, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. You will be a trusted advisor, working closely with senior management and various business units to safeguard the company's legal interests. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and partnership deals.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across operations.
• Manage and oversee potential disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
• Proactively identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and reputation.

Requirements

• Qualified as an Advocate or Attorney with a minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate in-house or top-tier law firm setting.
• Expertise in corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to provide pragmatic and business-oriented legal solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse legal portfolio remotely.
