Inventory Specialist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Inventory Specialist to manage and optimize inventory across their network, working remotely and supporting operations from Queenstown . This role involves ensuring inventory accuracy, managing stock levels, and implementing strategies to minimize costs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. You will be integral to the efficiency of our logistics and warehousing functions by providing critical insights and maintaining precise inventory data from your remote workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and real-time inventory records across all systems and locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory holding costs and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist , Inventory Controller, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with different departments.
