Advoc8 is a three year old startup based in Sydney.

We’re a team of 4 and have big plans to grow this year. This will be a great opportunity for you to broaden your technical skills, learn the inner workings of a saas business and optionally take on more responsibility as the team grows.
We have two products:
• A collaboration platform for teams to share the conversations they have with politicians and keep track of who’s who in government (standard full stack Rails application)
• A mapping tool that allows companies to visualise their impact in electoral districts. (React frontend and Rails GraphQL API)
You will have the opportunity to work on both.
We make political engagement software for people working in government relations at charities, industry bodies and corporates. My name’s Harry, I’m the CTO and one of the founders. I’m looking for a versatile rails dev to help us build the next phase of the product.
This means lots of new green fields work, and having the opportunity to inject your own product ideas if that is something that interests you. Our Stack
• Rails 5 (soon to be 6)
• GraphQL
• Elasticsearch
• Redis
About you
At least 2-3 years experience in Rails, and some experience with React.
Exposure to any other items listed in the stack above too is helpful. A passing interest in politics will also obviously be a plus! Overall I’m looking for a strong collaborator: someone who capable of discussing both technical aspects as well as product design.
