Lead AI Solutions Architect - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead AI Solutions Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of sophisticated AI strategies. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for translating business needs into robust, scalable AI-driven solutions, guiding technical teams, and ensuring alignment with the company's long-term technological vision. Your expertise will be critical in defining our AI roadmap and driving innovation across all business units, making this a highly impactful role for a strategic thinker in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end AI and machine learning solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements and define AI project roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the development and deployment phases.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms for diverse project needs.
• Develop best practices, standards, and documentation for AI solution development and deployment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with at least 5 years focused on AI and machine learning.
• Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems in production environments.
• Deep understanding of various AI domains, including NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics, and generative AI.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
