Lead Blockchain Architect - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary and experienced Lead Blockchain Architect to spearhead their blockchain initiatives in a fully remote capacity. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision, strategy, and architecture for our client's decentralized applications and blockchain-based products. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of various blockchain protocols, distributed systems, and the ability to translate complex business needs into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. You will guide development teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation in the crypto and Web3 space, all while working from home and supporting projects potentially linked to areas like Upington .

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall architecture for blockchain solutions, including network design, smart contract strategy, and integration points.

• Lead the technical design and development of complex decentralized applications (dApps) and enterprise blockchain solutions.

• Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain technologies, platforms, and tools for current and future needs.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to blockchain development teams, fostering a culture of excellence.

• Ensure all blockchain solutions are designed with security, scalability, and performance as paramount considerations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on blockchain technology .

• Expertise in designing and implementing solutions using major blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana).

• Deep understanding of smart contract development, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles .

• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex architectural projects.
