About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Chemical Engineer to spearhead their remote operations team. You will be responsible for setting technical standards, mentoring a team of engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and optimization of chemical processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices. • Oversee the technical aspects of projects from conception through to implementation, managing timelines and resources remotely. • Mentor and guide a team of chemical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and HAZOP studies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and project management, to achieve project goals. • Troubleshoot complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement robust, long-term solutions.

Requirements • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. • 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role. • Proven track record of successfully leading complex chemical engineering projects. • Expertise in process simulation software, statistical analysis, and project management tools. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills tailored for remote team management. • Deep understanding of chemical plant operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
