Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all codes and standards.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations using state-of-the-art software.
• Develop and review detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering their technical development and professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct design reviews, site support during construction (remotely or as required), and resolve complex structural issues.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Civil Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on infrastructure.
• Expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) software and structural design codes (e.g., SANS, Eurocode).
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage project teams remotely.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of successfully delivering complex structural projects.
