Lead Electrical Design Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design aspects of diverse projects, from conceptualization through to completion, all managed from a remote setting. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for complex projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, system layouts, and single-line diagrams using industry-standard software.
• Perform complex engineering calculations, including load flow, short circuit analysis, and protective relay coordination.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to a remote team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Review and approve design documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, fostering strong collaborative relationships remotely.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
• Extensive experience with power system analysis software (e.g., PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Proven ability to manage and lead remote engineering teams effectively.
• Excellent understanding of electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), and safety practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
