Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department, with a focus on operational HR support.

• Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all South African labour laws and regulations.
• Utilize HR analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions.
• Champion a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
• Manage HR projects and initiatives from conception to completion in a remote setting.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior generalist role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing operational HR functions, preferably within a remote or distributed team.
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, HRMP) is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective HR strategies.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
• Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
