Lead Remote Project Manager - SaaS

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Remote Project Manager to drive the development and delivery of their SaaS products. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within South Africa. You will be instrumental in leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and ensuring the successful launch of innovative SaaS solutions. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of software development, and the ability to excel in a distributed team environment, contributing significantly to the company's product strategy and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of SaaS product development projects remotely.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and strategic goals.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among remote development, QA, product, and marketing teams.
• Utilize best-in-class remote collaboration tools and project management software to ensure project success.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies in a virtual setting.
• Provide regular, clear, and concise updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on SaaS product development.
• Proven experience leading remote teams and managing complex software projects from inception to launch.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Slack).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills tailored for remote environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or CSM certification is highly preferred.
