Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a remote team of VFX artists, providing guidance and technical direction.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality visual effects sequences for film, TV, and games.
• Collaborate with directors and supervisors to define and implement the visual style and technical requirements for VFX shots.
• Manage shot assignments, workflows, and deadlines for the VFX team.
• Ensure technical quality, artistic consistency, and adherence to project specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and creative challenges within the VFX pipeline.
• Develop and implement innovative techniques and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Review work from artists, providing constructive feedback and ensuring it meets project standards.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in VFX software, hardware, and techniques.
• Contribute to pipeline development and tool creation to support remote workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in visual effects, with a significant portion in a lead or senior artist role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing remote creative teams.
• Expertise in 3D software such as Maya, Houdini, 3ds Max, and rendering engines (e.g., Arnold, RenderMan).
• Strong understanding of compositing software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Exceptional artistic eye for composition, color, lighting, and motion.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote collaboration.
