About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to our clients' manufacturing facilities and ensuring timely delivery to customers. You will be responsible for optimizing supply chain operations, managing inventory, and coordinating with transportation partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to manage complex logistical challenges from anywhere in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
• Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management , preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work environment.
