About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Logistics Network Planner to join their globally distributed team, working entirely remotely. This role is critical for designing, optimizing, and managing the company's entire logistics network to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. You will leverage advanced analytics and modeling tools to evaluate network designs, transportation strategies, and inventory placement. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual with extensive experience in supply chain network design and optimization, capable of driving significant improvements from a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, model, and optimize the company's global logistics network, including warehouse locations, transportation routes, and inventory deployment strategies.
• Utilize network modeling software and analytical tools to simulate different scenarios and assess their impact on costs, service levels, and lead times.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather data and validate network assumptions.
• Develop business cases and recommendations for network changes, presenting findings to senior management.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
• Monitor the performance of the existing network and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in logistics network design, optimization, and transportation strategy.
• Proficiency with advanced network modeling software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogistix) and data analysis tools (SQL, Python).
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, warehousing strategies, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
