Logistics Officer - FMCG (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and efficient Logistics Officer to join their remote operations team, supporting their extensive FMCG distribution network across Gauteng . You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods, managing transportation logistics, and optimizing delivery routes. Operating remotely, you will leverage advanced logistics software and collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of transportation logistics for FMCG products , ensuring timely deliveries.
• Optimize delivery routes and transportation schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Liaise with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and warehouse staff to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively address any delays or issues, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, including shipping documents, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics operations and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation management, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Proficiency in using logistics management software and tracking systems.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, shipping procedures, and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
