Logistics Planner and Scheduler - Full-Time Remote

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the Logistics & Warehousing industry, is seeking an experienced Logistics Planner and Scheduler to join their operations. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to manage intricate scheduling and planning from any location. You will be responsible for developing optimal transportation and delivery schedules, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics operations. You will leverage sophisticated planning tools and data to create efficient routes, manage capacity, and respond effectively to dynamic operational changes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly logistics plans and schedules.
• Optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules to minimize costs and transit times.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any deviations or issues.
• Utilize logistics planning software and tools to manage schedules and resources effectively.
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for schedule improvements and cost savings.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners regarding scheduling and logistics updates.
• Manage capacity planning and resource allocation for transportation fleet.
• Maintain accurate records of all planned activities and executed schedules.
• Respond to urgent requests and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate operational changes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar role within logistics.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, routing, and scheduling principles.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with supply chain operations and warehouse processes is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
