Candidates must reside within the United States and be available for occasional on-site support in Silver Spring, Maryland, as needed. Job Summary It is a fairly part-time and a fully remote role; however, there can be a need to visit the Agency's data center in Silver Spring, MD in case of an outage or per client's request.
It is a multi-year project where the need is for an individual to "proactively" identify/implement areas of improvement and infuse automation around routine tasks (backups, recovery, patching, upgrades, etc.). Tangible progress/results and client satisfaction are of paramount importance here.
An individual must have a strong knowledge and understanding around consolidating and optimizing data sources, with an emphasis on improving data quality and process automation. We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Administrator (MSSQL DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize our SQL Server database environments.
