Electrical Engineer - Renewable Energy (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including grid‑tied and off‑grid applications.
• Perform energy production modeling, system sizing, and component selection for solar PV, wind turbines and energy storage systems.
• Develop single‑line diagrams, schematics and technical specifications for electrical installations.
• Analyze grid interconnection requirements and ensure compliance with utility standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Troubleshoot and optimise the performance of operational renewable energy systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy systems (solar, wind, BESS).
• Proficiency in simulation software for renewable energy systems (e.g., PVSyst, HOMER, ETAP).
• Strong understanding of power electronics, energy storage technologies and grid integration principles.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
