About the Role Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Chemical Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations that may involve Tembisa and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities • Analyze and optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes for improved yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness. • Develop and scale up new chemical processes from laboratory to pilot and full production levels. • Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) for design and troubleshooting. • Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance to plant operations teams. • Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in chemical engineering.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering . • At least 5 years of experience in process design, optimization, and scale-up in the chemical industry. • Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration.
