This role is crucial for the conceptualization, design, and development of new chemical processes and modifications to existing ones, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and environmental criteria.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with extensive experience in process design and a passion for developing cutting-edge chemical technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new and existing chemical processes.
• Perform mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and specification development.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize designs and predict performance.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and equipment for various chemical operations.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver successful projects.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in process design for the chemical or related industries. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools. Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering. Experience with process safety reviews and hazard analysis.
Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills for effective remote collaboration .
