Process Development Scientist (Remote)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of new chemical processes, from bench-scale experimentation to pilot studies.

• Develop and validate analytical methods for characterizing intermediates and final products.
• Prepare detailed research reports, scientific publications, and internal documentation on process development findings.
• Collaborate virtually with chemists, engineers, and project managers across different departments and regions.
• Troubleshoot challenges in synthesis and process scale-up, proposing creative and effective solutions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, synthetic chemistry, or chemical R&D.
• Proven expertise in experimental design (DoE) and optimization of chemical reactions.
• Proficiency with laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, NMR).
• Strong theoretical knowledge of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and physical chemistry.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
