About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Chemist to join their globally distributed technical team, working remotely. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe production of hydrocarbons by providing expert chemical analysis and process support. You will analyze fluid samples, troubleshoot production chemistry issues, and recommend chemical treatment programs to optimize performance and asset integrity. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze crude oil, natural gas, and water samples to determine composition and identify potential production issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor chemical treatment programs for wells and facilities to prevent corrosion, scale, and paraffin deposition.
  • Troubleshoot production chemistry problems, diagnose root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with field engineers and operations teams via remote channels to ensure optimal chemical performance.
  • Stay updated on new chemical technologies and industry best practices for production chemistry.
  • Maintain accurate records of analyses, treatments, and performance data for all supported assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in production chemistry within the Oil & Gas sector , preferred with exposure to remote operations.
  • Strong understanding of corrosion, scale, emulsion, and paraffin control in production systems.
  • Proficiency in laboratory analysis techniques and interpretation of chemical data.
  • Excellent remote communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote-first setting.
