Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze public policy developments relevant to the organization.
• Develop and implement strategies to effectively engage with government officials and policymakers.
• Prepare briefing materials, position papers, and advocacy communications.
• Represent the organization at public forums, hearings, and industry events.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector and community.
• Advise senior leadership on public affairs matters and potential policy impacts.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy advocacy.
• Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, particularly within South Africa.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and executing advocacy campaigns.
