Support the Company’s growth initiatives and retail strategies by leading all facets of the real estate process, including market and location strategy, site selection, financial evaluation, lease negotiations, and legal documentation for new and existing stores.
Partner with landlords and internal stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that optimize occupancy costs, enhance store performance, and improve long-term profitability for Genesco, including the successful restructuring and renegotiation of existing leases. Assist in meeting targeted financial objectives for all divisions.
Promote strong relationships with landlords to enhance overall awareness of company brands and retail concepts, negotiate and secure favorable lease terms and locations to maximize profitability of each store. Manage the process with Construction and Legal so that approved stores are opened on time and delivered in the manner presented.
Maintain and update leasing reports for management with clerical staff. Monitor national retail real estate market activity for trends and new developments. Job Requirements Superior negotiation skills. Minimum of 12 years’ experience in retail real estate, preferably for a specialt
