About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Accountant to join their fully remote finance team, serving operations based in Tembisa . This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of the company by managing daily accounting tasks and contributing to month-end close processes. You will leverage technology to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various locations. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess excellent remote communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the finance team with tax filings and compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure data integrity within the accounting system.
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and cloud-based platforms.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively when working remotely.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for clear online collaboration.
