About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data models and algorithms to analyze agricultural datasets, identifying key patterns and correlations.

• Utilize machine learning techniques to develop predictive models for crop yield forecasting, disease detection, and optimal resource allocation.
• Visualize data and present complex findings through clear, compelling reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and software engineers to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for data collection and analysis to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agricultural Science with a quantitative focus, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data science, with a focus on statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and related libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with big data technologies and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with agricultural concepts, data types, and challenges is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a remote setting .
