About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly informed and articulate Remote Agricultural Policy Advisor to contribute to the development and implementation of effective agricultural policies. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere, analyzing agricultural trends, economic factors, and environmental impacts to shape future policy directions. You will provide expert guidance to stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and farming communities, on critical issues affecting the agricultural sector. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural economics, environmental regulations, and public policy, coupled with exceptional research and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze current agricultural policies, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
• Develop policy recommendations and proposals based on sound economic, environmental, and social principles.
• Advise government officials and agricultural stakeholders on policy implications and strategies.
• Monitor legislative developments and global agricultural trends relevant to policy formation.
• Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations for various audiences.
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations and contribute to policy dialogues.
• Conduct economic impact assessments of proposed agricultural policies.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in agricultural policy analysis, research, or advocacy.
• Deep understanding of agricultural markets, trade, environmental sustainability, and food security issues.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively in a remote setting.
