Remote Agronomist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Agronomist to join their forward-thinking agricultural consultancy. In this fully remote role, you will provide expert advice and data-driven recommendations to farmers across various regions, focusing on optimizing crop yields, soil health, and sustainable farming practices. You will leverage advanced analytics, remote sensing data, and your deep agronomic knowledge to develop tailored strategies for clients. This position requires a self-starter who can manage their time effectively and communicate complex technical information clearly to a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice on crop planning, soil management, fertilization, and pest/disease control.
• Analyze soil sample data , satellite imagery, and weather patterns to provide actionable insights.
• Develop customized crop management plans and sustainable farming recommendations for clients.
• Conduct virtual consultations and site visits (as feasible and necessary) to assess client needs and farm conditions.
• Stay abreast of the latest agricultural research, technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to refine agronomic models and services.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, or a closely related agricultural field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in agronomy , preferably with a focus on data analysis and crop consulting.
• Proven ability to interpret and utilize remote sensing data, GIS, and precision agriculture tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills .
• Experience working remotely and managing client relationships independently.
• Familiarity with various crop types and agricultural systems relevant to the region and beyond.
