Remote Agronomist Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Agronomist Consultant to provide expert advice and support to agricultural producers globally. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for analyzing farm data, providing recommendations on crop management, soil health, pest and disease control, and sustainable farming practices. Your insights will help clients optimize yields, improve resource efficiency, and enhance the overall profitability and sustainability of their operations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice and technical support to clients via virtual consultations and digital platforms.
• Analyze farm data, including soil tests, weather patterns, and crop performance metrics, to develop tailored recommendations.
• Develop comprehensive strategies for crop planning, fertilization, irrigation, and pest/disease management.
• Advise clients on the implementation of sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, technologies, and best practices in agronomy and agriculture.
• Assist clients in optimizing resource use (water, nutrients, energy) for improved efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or agricultural research.
• Demonstrated expertise in various crop types, soil management, and integrated pest management (IPM).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using agricultural data analysis software.
• Excellent remote communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice on sustainable and precision agriculture techniques.
