Remote Agronomist - Crop Optimization

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote agronomic consulting services to farmers and agricultural businesses.
• Analyze farm data, including soil tests, yield data, imagery, and weather forecasts, to develop crop management plans.
• Recommend best practices for planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease control, and harvesting.
• Utilize precision agriculture tools and technologies to optimize farm inputs and outcomes.
• Develop customized strategies for crop rotation, soil health management, and nutrient application.
• Stay current with advancements in agronomy, agricultural technology, and sustainable farming methods.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomic consulting or crop management.
• Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management.
• Proficiency in analyzing agricultural data and using relevant software tools (e.g., GIS, farm management software).
• Excellent communication and client-advisory skills, capable of providing remote support.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse client portfolio in a remote setting.
