About the Role

Our client is a rapidly growing entity in the AI & Emerging Technologies space, seeking a skilled Remote AI Platform Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about building and scaling the infrastructure that powers advanced AI applications. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining robust AI platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. As a remote-first employee, you will collaborate with a distributed team using cutting-edge tools to deliver seamless AI development and deployment experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, MLOps principles, and containerization technologies. You will play a crucial part in enabling our client's AI researchers and data scientists to efficiently build, train, and deploy models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable and reliable AI infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and implement MLOps pipelines for automated model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Utilize containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to manage and orchestrate AI workloads.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Ensure the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of the AI platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues impacting AI development and production.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, AI infrastructure trends, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering (SRE) with a focus on AI/ML infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles and tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with a distributed team.
