About the Role

Our client, a global leader in aviation training solutions, seeks a highly experienced Remote Air Traffic Controller to contribute to their simulation and training department, ideally based in the Durban region but fully remote. In this specialized role, you will design, develop, and deliver realistic air traffic control scenarios for training purposes using advanced simulation software. You will leverage your extensive operational experience to create challenging and effective training environments for controllers worldwide. This position is fully remote, allowing you to impact aviation safety and training from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex air traffic control scenarios for simulator training.
• Operate and manage air traffic control simulators, providing guidance and feedback to trainees.
• Develop training materials, including lesson plans, instructor guides, and assessment tools.
• Evaluate trainee performance against established standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay current with air traffic control procedures, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Current or recently held Air Traffic Controller license/certification with significant operational experience.
• Demonstrated experience in aviation training, simulation, or scenario development.
• Deep understanding of air traffic management principles, procedures, and communication protocols.
• Proficiency with simulation software and virtual training environments.
• Excellent communication, instructional, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
