About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and responsible Remote Aircraft Dispatcher to join their global operations team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for flight planning, monitoring flight progress, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of all dispatched flights. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure, all while managing operations across various time zones. You'll be a vital link in the chain ensuring smooth and safe aviation operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop safe, efficient, and legal flight plans considering weather, air traffic, and operational constraints.
- Monitor flight progress continuously, providing updates and making necessary adjustments to flight plans or routes.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and other relevant operational departments.
- Manage operational contingencies, including diversions, cancellations, and irregular operations.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Aircraft Dispatcher certification (e.g., FAA Part 121 dispatcher certificate).
- Proven experience in flight operations or dispatch, preferably in a commercial aviation environment.
- Strong understanding of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations.
- Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies.
- Proficiency with flight planning software and communication systems.
