About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Aircraft Systems Software Developer to join their distributed engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated software solutions for critical aircraft systems, operating entirely remotely. You will play a key part in enhancing the functionality, performance, and reliability of our avionics and control software. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software for embedded aircraft systems using C/C++ and other relevant languages.
  • Implement and maintain software according to stringent aerospace standards (e.g., DO-178C) and best practices.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware developers to define software requirements and architecture.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization for embedded software applications.
  • Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for software development.
  • Document software designs, test procedures, and user guides thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development, with a focus on aerospace or complex systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with aerospace software development standards (e.g., DO-178C) and safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong remote collaboration capabilities.
