About the Role Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Remote Aircraft Systems Specialist to join their globally distributed engineering team, supporting operations primarily based in Cape Town . In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, analysis, and solutions for complex aircraft systems from anywhere. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet through advanced diagnostics and strategic planning, contributing directly to operational excellence and safety from a distance. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to remotely diagnose issues, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate effectively with on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert-level technical support for the design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, and propulsion.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of aircraft performance data and maintenance logs to identify trends, predict potential failures, and recommend preventative measures.
• Develop and document technical procedures, service bulletins, and repair schemes for implementation by maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product support specialists, and third-party vendors to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Utilize remote diagnostic tools and data analysis software to monitor aircraft health and system performance in real-time.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of aircraft systems through feedback on design, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering or maintenance, with a specialization in avionics or complex electrical systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues remotely.
• Familiarity with aircraft maintenance software, diagnostic tools, and data analysis platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
