About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Appliance Installation & Service Expert to provide remote technical support and guidance from Soweto. This innovative role will involve assisting and instructing on-site technicians with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide array of home appliances. You will be the primary point of contact for complex technical challenges, utilizing your extensive knowledge to ensure successful service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with exceptional communication skills, passionate about home appliances and technology, operating within the Installation & Maintenance domain in a remote-first capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to field technicians during appliance installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Diagnose appliance malfunctions through detailed descriptions, photos, and remote diagnostic tools.
• Guide technicians step-by-step through repair procedures, part replacements, and system checks.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of various appliance brands, models, and common issues.
• Document all remote support interactions, resolutions, and feedback for quality assurance and training purposes.
• Collaborate with product development and support teams to identify trends and improve service protocols.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience as an Appliance Installation and Repair Technician.
• In-depth knowledge of the workings, installation requirements, and common faults of major home appliances.
• Proficiency with video conferencing, remote diagnostic platforms, and digital communication tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
• Strong customer service orientation and patience when guiding others.
• Relevant certifications in appliance repair or electrical systems are a plus.
