About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Remote Automotive Diagnostic Technician to provide expert remote support for vehicle diagnostics and repair guidance. In this fully remote role, you will leverage advanced diagnostic tools and software to assist field technicians and customers in troubleshooting complex vehicle issues. You will analyze data, interpret fault codes, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for repairs, playing a crucial role in ensuring vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction across a distributed network. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively without direct physical access to the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote diagnostic support for a wide range of automotive issues using specialized software and tools.
• Analyze vehicle data, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and sensor readings to identify root causes of problems.
• Guide and advise on-site technicians through complex repair procedures.
• Document diagnostic findings, recommendations, and resolution steps accurately.
• Stay updated on new vehicle technologies, diagnostic techniques, and common automotive faults.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve escalated issues.

Requirements

• Certified Automotive Technician (e.g., ASE certifications) with extensive diagnostic experience.
• Proven ability to interpret complex diagnostic data and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of various vehicle makes, models, and their respective electronic control units (ECUs).
• Proficiency with advanced automotive diagnostic software and remote diagnostic platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to varying audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively in a remote work setting.
